6ixty1Gad’s new single Dear Mummy inspired by life lessons
Bajan dancehall artiste 6ixty1Gad is gearing up to release his new single titled Dear Mummy.
He says the song was inspired by life lessons that his mother taught him when he was a child.
“Everything I sing about on this track was inspired by the words of wisdom my mother Mrs Linda Eugene imparted to me when I was a child. She taught me how to be a man of integrity and honour. She was very stern with me and my siblings because she never wanted us to go down the wrong roads in life. Now that I am a father, I teach my sons the same lessons that she taught me,” said the artiste.

Dear Mummy was scheduled for release on Mother’s Day.
“I am very excited about this song; it means a lot to me because it’s a tribute to my mother and all the good mothers out there in the world. I am confident that it will do well because it carries a positive message that will resonate with people from all levels of society,” said 6ixty1Gad before the release.
The hard-working deejay says he has over 30 new songs recorded and ready for release but his main focus for now is Dear Mummy.
“I’m going to shoot a video for it very soon,” he said.
From South District in St George, Barbados, 6ixty1Gad’s given name is Dwayne Maphius Eugene.
He launched his recording career in 2005 with a single titled How Yuh Feeling, which was produced by popular Bajan musician Anderson “Blood” Armstrong from the now defunct soca band Square One. Some of his other songs are Higher featuring Bugle, Pray Fi Di Youths, Far Out and Cross Roads.
