Semi-final places in VMF Under-13 up for grabs
The semi-finalists in the St James Football Association/Victoria Mutual Foundation Under-13 competition will be decided over the next two days with the playing of the quarter-finals at Wespow Park in Tucker, St James.
On Monday, defending champions Corinaldi Avenue Primary will take the only perfect record into their game against Catherine Hall Primary in the first game set to start at 10:00 am followed by Chetwood Primary against Barracks Road Primary, set to start at 11:30 am.
On Tuesday, Flanker Primary and Mount Salem will meet in the first game followed by Granville Primary against Howard Cooke Primary.
The winners will qualify for the semi-finals set for Friday with the final set for June 6.
Corinaldi Avenue Primary are riding an unblemished record going back to last season, winning all six games in Zone A in the first round and are yet to concede a goal.
Five-time winners Catherine Hall were runners-up in Zone C and are also unbeaten this season but have drawn two of their five games.
Barracks Road Primary are yet to concede a goal themselves but also drew twice and face a Chetwood team that were runners-up to Corinaldi Avenue in Group A.
Barracks Road Primary, whose only hold on the trophy came 32 years ago in 1992, are coming off a 10-0 win over Farm Primary that saw them edge Catherine Hall on goal-difference.
