Biggy’s back!
The excitement over designer Earl “Biggy” Turner’s return to the fashion show circuit was enough to lure true dancehall fans to the Sashi Experience Fashion Show at Plantation Cove on Thursday, May 23.
Though organisers maintained an air of mystery, waiting until the 11th hour to confirm the designer’s appearance, reports of his comeback took on viral status once promo for the Sashi Experience Fashion Show started weeks ago.

“[H]is pieces speak for themselves. So I want you to look at his collection, and feel Biggy. Feel the icon. Feel the epitome of style. The original, the one and only, please welcome the collection by Biggy,” said host and recording artiste Amanyea.
Despite Biggy’s absence from the fashion show circuit — his last showing was in 2019 — he has maintained his cult-like following, and continued to create pieces for clients locally and across the world.
“I’m coming back for my audience!” Biggy told SO. “I didn’t really name the collection, it’s just Earl Turner, and it’s all about creativity. My pieces are both wearable and exciting to look at,” shared the designer.
The elusive personality captivated the audience with a collection that included his signature denim pieces, multi-print pants suit worn by recording artiste Annaleax, and a finale piece dubbed Miss World, inspired by muse Shanique Singh, Miss Jamaica World 2022.
