In a release on Saturday evening, Sashi Festival founder Horatio Hamilton expressed regret at the absence of the two major international acts, but noted that the organisers “remain committed to delivering an unforgettable experience for our patrons.”
He added: “Sashi Festival is thrilled to reaffirm its commitment to showcasing the best of Jamaican and international music. The lineup remains packed with talent, including international R&B star Ne-Yo, who is already in Jamaica and preparing for an electrifying performance. He’ll be joined by a star-studded lineup of Jamaican artists.”
Bounty Killer, Tifa, Kraff Gad, 10TIK, Najeriii, Rajah Wild, Bayka, Skeng, Valiant and Tommy Lee are among the local acts expected to hit the stage.
“Sashi is more than just its international acts. While we regret the absence of Busta Rhymes and Keyshia Cole, we are excited to celebrate the incredible talent of Ne-Yo and our phenomenal local lineup. This festival is deeply rooted in Jamaican culture, and the spirit of Sashi lives on through the energy and passion of our performers and patrons.
“We encourage everyone to come out and experience the exciting, high-energy performances that will make this year’s Sashi Festival unforgettable,” he said.
