Embalming fluid found in fish in Mandeville market report is false — SRHA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) has rubbished an article which is being circulated online about embalming fluid found in fish samples in the Mandeville market in Manchester.
In a statement released to media on Saturday, SRHA the article was false and discouraged individuals from spreading false information online.
“The Southern Regional Health Authority is advising the public that an article which is being circulated online about embalming fluid found in fish samples in the Mandeville market in Manchester is false.
“The article which is being circulated was posted on Radio Jamaica’s (RJR) online platform on June 26, 2010.
“The SRHA is encouraging persons to stop spreading false information and also for the public to verify information posted online,” the authority said.
The Southern Regional Health Authority administrates public health care facilities in St Elizabeth, Manchester and Clarendon.
