Video appears to show Diddy beating, dragging Cassie
Newly-released video footage appears to show rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs beating and dragging his then-girlfriend, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, at a hotel in 2016.
The footage was obtained by CNN and appears to support some claims of physical abuse Ventura made against Combs in a lawsuit last year.
According to CNN, the footage was compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016.
The incident is said to have taken place at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles and appears to show Ventura exiting a hotel room before Combs, holding a towel around his waist, runs after her. It then purportedly shows him violently grabbing her by the back of the neck and throwing her to the ground. He then appears to kick her as she lies motionless on the floor before dragging her by her sweatshirt toward the room.
Last year, Ventura filed a lawsuit in a New York federal court against Combs. Combs and Ventura were in a relationship between 2005 and 2018. The lawsuit detailed several years of alleged abuse. The pair settled the suit out of court approximately 24 hours after it was filed.
Earlier this year, Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) agents raided a Los Angeles home reportedly associated with Combs.
The federal investigators with the HSI were conducting operations at an address reportedly associated with Combs’ Bad Boy Films production company.
According to Forbes Magazine, Combs has a net worth of close to $1 billion.
