D and G Foundation welcomes 2nd cohort of forklift trainees
NINETEEN promising youngsters have formed the second cohort of trainees under the Desnoes and Geddes (D&G) Foundation Forklift Training Programme.
This initiative, conducted in partnership with Project STAR and DECS Management Services Ltd, saw the trainees completing their assessments over the past two weeks.
They are now gearing up for internship opportunities at DECS Management Services Ltd, where they will engage in 20 days of paid internship, gaining practical experience and skills crucial for their future careers.
These newly certified operators will pursue full-time employment after completing their internship.
With the addition of these latest graduates, the programme has seen the certification of 40 forklift operators since its launch in July 2024.
