‘Bunny’ Shaw wins WSL Player of the Season award
Manchester City striker Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has been named the Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Season.
The 27-year-old Jamaican has been instrumental in City’s push for the title, leading the league with 21 goals in 18 games this season – incredibly averaging a goal every 66 minutes.
City are second in the league standing with a one game left to play, trailing Chelsea on goal difference.
Shaw was ruled out for the rest of the season in April after suffering a broken foot.
It’s the latest award for Shaw, having been recently named the 2024 Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Women’s Footballer of the Year.
