Kamila’s Kitchen Opens 2nd Location
After years of operations from its Skyline Levels location, vegan restaurant Kamila’s Kitchen has landed on the flat, right at The MarketPlace!
Indulge in plant-powered bliss at lifestyle/nutrition coach and restaurateur Kamila McDonald’s second location, an extension of the beloved establishment founded and built by her parents Errol and Kerida McDonald.
Deeply committed to the farm-to-fork philosophy, the new location promises an array of dishes that cater to both dedicated plant-based eaters and those curious about a healthy lifestyle. A select group of family, friends, and foodies got first dibs on menu items last Saturday, at a private unveiling, sampling everything from beetroot soup to V-Ital pizza, and Famous loaded nachos.
And while the delicious, nutrient-rich plant-based meals, snacks, and refreshing cold-pressed juices sound great, Kamila’s Kitchen offers much more. There’s a beauty enclave that sells, among other products, Zion Health’s vegan deodorant — Clay Dry, and Iyata’s Organics healing clay soap from the hills of Bath, St Thomas.
There was even more to celebrate at last Saturday’s unveiling, which doubled as McDonald’s 40th birthday party, with Organica Whole Foods Store CEO Abbi-Gayle Phillips naming McDonald as brand ambassador. Now, not only will you find Organica’s ingredients in Kamila’s Kitchen’s mouth-watering dishes, but you can also look forward to new recipes, wellness tips, and fresh content across both platforms.
Also at the new spot are products from WellFit Foods, a holistic brand founded by McDonald and Sarah Myers, who has over 15 years experience running a plant-based kitchen in California. The Well Good Pepper Jack Chz is worth trying and the vegan yoghurt is already a hit.
“I want to say a special thank you to The MarketPlace family for inviting Kamila’s Kitchen to be here. I almost fell off my chair when I got the call. The entire family has been so welcoming and loving, and I want to thank you because restaurant work is not easy work; you have to really, really love food to do it,” said McDonald.
Visit the new location at The MarketPlace, 67 Constant Spring Road, and grab the second edition of McDonald’s cookbook while you’re at it!
