Bascoe to return to court June 11
ST MARY, Jamaica — Errol Bascoe, former People’s National Party (PNP) caretaker for St Mary Western, who is facing charges of buggery, is to return to court on June 11.
The date was set when the case against him was mentioned in the Annotto Bay Parish Court on Tuesday, May 14.
The matter was postponed due to the non-appearance of Bascoe’s lawyer, Oswest Senior Smith, the complaint and the investigating officer.
In March of this year, Bascoe is said to have allegedly had a sexual encounter with a 23-year-old man from Gayle who had reportedly sought the educator’s assistance in a legal matter.
Bascoe, at the time of the incident, was principal of the Tacky High School and is now on a leave of absence from his duties.
