Bare Gyal Want We
Delomar RDX releases collab with 90s dancehall giant Harry Toddler
Dancehall sensation Delomar RDX has released his new single Bare Gyal Want We, a dynamic collaboration with legendary 90s dancehall artiste Harry Toddler.
The track, a refix of the iconic Scare Dem Crew hit Bare Gyal, marks the first release from Delomar RDX’s highly anticipated solo album Gyaliday (The Gyalbum).
Originally known for his success with the popular duo RDX, Delomar embarks on his solo journey with an album that captures the essence of the RDX brand with its focus on vibrant dancehall tracks celebrating women, dancing, and the ever-present Jamaican party culture.
Speaking about the album and his new single, Delomar RDX shared: “This song and the entire album is a tribute to the energy and spirit of dancehall that has always inspired me. Dancehall is missing that piece of the puzzle that celebrates women, dancing, and generally enjoyment and happy music.”
Bare Gyal Want We was produced collaboratively by Reckit Ralf Music and Amsterdam-based producer The Teacher, bringing a fresh, international sound to the track.
Harry Toddler’s involvement in the project brings a nostalgic twist, bridging the gap between new-age beats and classic dancehall rhythms.
The single will be available on all streaming platforms, with the music video set to première on YouTube today, Friday, May 10. The video, directed by LCRJ Media, features scenes shot in the vibrant streets of downtown Kingston, perfectly capturing the song’s energetic vibe.
Said Delomar RDX: “Most people don’t know this, but Harry Toddler and I grew up in the same yard on South Road in Kencot and, naturally, It felt like everything just clicked with Harry Toddler and me. I believe it shows in the music and the video. We’re bringing that authentic dancehall flavour mixed with a new school vibe to fans worldwide.”
