Thieves take off with over $500k in Little Caesar robbery
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The Westmoreland police are reporting that thieves made off with over half a million dollars after they held up a worker at Little Caesar Pizza Place in Negril on Sunday night.
Observer Online understands that the robbers held up a female employee with a knife at her neck as she attempted to empty the night’s trash at about 11:50 pm.
She was also robbed of $10,000.
Reports from the police are that a worker at the establishment was in the process of closing up when two men armed with knives forced their way into the restaurant after she opened the door to discard garbage.
One of the men reportedly held a knife to her throat and robbed her of her purse containing $10,000 amongst other documents.
It is alleged that the suspects also made off with cash amounting to approximately $500,000 which was taken from the cash register.
A report was made to the police who are currently investigating the matter.
