Bomb threat disrupts exams at KC, Campion College
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Examinations at Kingston College and Campion College were disrupted Tuesday morning after bomb threats were reportedly made at the schools.
The threat to Kingston College, which was called in around 9:00 am, forced officials to stop the exams. The students were relocated to the nearby St George’s College to complete them.
Police from the Bomb Squad and the Canine Division have since been dispatched to the school and are conducting checks.
Officers from the Protective Services Division have also been sent to the school, Observer Online understands.
Campion College reportedly sent a message to the parents of students advising of the threat Tuesday morning and noting that, out of an abundance of caution, it evacuated all students.
It said the CXC and OEC were aware of the situation which disrupted Caribbean Studies exam candidates.
Meanwhile, the Jamaica Constabulary Force says initial investigations suggest the threats are hoaxes and is urging the public to remain calm.
