27-y-o shop operator charged with murder
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 27-year-old shop operator has been arrested and charged in relation to the shooting death of 38-year-old Clinton Taylor, otherwise called ‘Parry’ of Princess Street.
According to the police, officers were on patrol in the area on Monday, February 12, when explosions were heard.
Checks were made and Taylor was seen lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the head. He was taken to the hospital.
Onande Lewis-Harriott, otherwise called ‘Nande’, also of Princess Street, was later arrested and charged by the police following an operation.
Lewis-Harriott was subsequently charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
His court date is being finalised.
