Man charged with killing 50-year-old at home

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Half-Way -Tree police have arrested and charged 29-year-old Romario Codner, otherwise called ‘Chunky’, of Dunrobin Avenue, Kingston 10, for the murder of 50-year-old Leroy Morgan, a mason of the same address at his home on Sunday, August 30, 2023.

Codner was charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Reports from the police are that about 2:15 am, Morgan was at home when Codner and another man allegedly entered his house armed with guns and opened fire. Morgan was shot several times and was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Codner was taken into custody and charged on Tuesday, April 30. A court date for him is being finalised.
