WATCH: Bolt unveiled as official brand ambassador for Red Stripe ahead of Paris Olympics
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaican Sprint Legend Usain Bolt will return to the Olympics this summer after he was unveiled as the new brand ambassador for the Jamaica Olympic Association’s sponsor, Red Stripe, ahead of the games in Paris.
The announcement was made Wednesday afternoon at the Half- Way -Tree Transport Centre in St Andrew.
The eight- time Olympic gold medallist will be part of distillery giants’ ‘Guh fi Gold & Glory’ promotion which will see 10 winners getting the opportunity to travel to France to watch the Paris Olympics.
Noting that the partnership was long overdue, Bolt said it was an honour to be part of a global brand.
Meanwhile, Red Stripe’s Head of Commerce, Sean Wallace praised Bolt as an icon for his contributions to Jamaica and said the brand was delighted to have him on board for their Olympic journey.
In December, Red Stripe and the JOA signed a five-year $80 million partnership which will go towards preparation for this summer’s Olympics as well as other international sporting events and the 2028 games in Los Angeles.
