Donovan Bennett defeats Billy Heaven in JCA election

Dr Donovan Bennett was elected as the new president of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA), defeating the incumbent Wilfred ‘Billy’ Heaven at the association’s General Election on Thursday at the Jamaica Conference Centre.

Dr Bennett, who served as vice president of the JCA for 11 years, received 67 votes to Heaven’s 30 votes.

Bennett said that he was humbled and ready to do the necessary work to lift cricket in the country.
