JLP Central Exec appoints new leaders
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Senators Charles Sinclair, Delroy Williams and Aubyn Hill have been appointed among the cadre of the Jamaica Labour Party’s deputy general secretaries.
The appointments were made during the party’s Central Executive on Sunday, April 21.
The new positions come as JLP General Secretary, Dr Horace Chang announced that Homer Davis and Audley Gordon had resigned from the post of deputy general secretary.
Senator Aubyn Hill’s appointment follows his resignation as party treasurer, a position in which he will be superseded by Daryl Vaz who was appointed as the party’s new treasurer during the meeting.
Senator Hill will now be in charge of central administration and quality control in offering support to the party’s secretariat.
Dr Chang said the new additions to the party’s secretariat are members of the Senate who do not currently have a constituency which requires their attention thereby enabling them to dedicate the necessary effort to the complete the respective tasks assigned.
During the meeting, it was also announced that Robert Morgan had resigned as Chairman of the Party’s Public Relations Committee.
