Kingston vendor facing buggery, assault charges following alleged attack on woman
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 42-year-old vendor was charged with buggery and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm following an alleged incident at his home on Tuesday, March 26.
He is Dwayne Walcott from Castle Heights, Kingston 8.
Reports from the Constant Spring Police are that Walcott and the complainant, a woman with whom he had an intimate relationship, engaged in sexual activities when it is alleged that he sexually assaulted her.
The complainant reportedly ran from the house but was chased and hit in the head by the accused who also allegedly pushed her into a gully.
The police were summoned and the complainant was taken to the hospital where she was treated for a fractured skull and paralysis.
An investigation commenced and Walcott was subsequently arrested and charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
A court date for him is being finalised.
