Vendor charged after ganja reportedly found at stall in Trelawny
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – A higgler at the Falmouth Square in Trelawny was charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act after she was reportedly held with ganja Saturday night.
She is 48-year-old Nicole McDonald, a food vendor from Martha Brae in the parish.
McDonald is charged with possession and dealing in ganja. She was offered station bail and will appear in the Trelawny Parish Court in Clarks Town on May 29, 2024.
Reports are that around 9:50 pm, police searched a food stall McDonald operated in the square and found two transparent plastic bags, each containing loose vegetable matter resembling ganja.
The two parcels had a total weight of one pound.
McDonald was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
