Soca on the Campari Boulevard
Campari Boulevard was the place to be on Carnival Sunday. Indeed those fortunate enough to have Skylounge access truly had the best Carnival seats as each band chipped along the Campari Boulevard. The spectacular costumes, the vibes, the camaraderie came together seamlessly. Little wonder that the boulevard attracted over 5,000 spectators.
The event unfolded at S Foods Supermarket, located on Worthington Avenue, which evolved into a veritable ‘culture yard’ – complete with Junkanoo performers, stilt walkers, UWI Panoridim Steel Orchestra, and live performances by Stylo G, Yung Bredda, Ding Dong and Mical Teja.
The Campari team also reintroduced the ‘stage crossing’ Carnival element – which saw some 10,000 revellers between Xodus and YardMas Carnival participating.
