Rainsville the choice in TOBA Trophy
A field of seven runners is down to contest the $1.25-million Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association of Jamaica (TOBA) Trophy on tomorrow’s nine-race card.
The race is an Overnight Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward going 9 furlongs and 25 yards.
Below is the analysis of each runner and their chances of winning.
1. SUNSET SILHOUTTE: (5 b m by Northern Giant – Ahwhofah) – Capable runner who is going to love this two-turn event.
Sunset Silhoutte should not be left out of calculations here.
2. POSITIVE ID: (6 b h by Bern Identity – Bubble Gal Bubble) – Has no form to recommend here for a winning run.
3.SONNY T AND CHIPPY: (5 b h by Savoy Stomp – Trinket Box) – Was expected to do much better than his fourth-place finish behind Mamma Mia in the King’s Plate over 7 ½ furlongs on March 30. With the distance increased, Sonny T and Chippy is expected to run a much better race here.
4.BRIDAL BLUSH: (6 b m by Sensational Slam – Janiboutice) – Has no realistic chance of winning this one. Note: Blinkers on; figure-8 off.
5.ALL FOR LOVE: (4 ch f by Nuclear Wayne – Princess Sallema) – Did well the first time of asking at this level when finishing third by 6 ½ lengths behind Mamma Mia and Get A Pepsi in the recent King’s Plate.
All For Love is going to love this extension in journey and is going to be a danger to all here.
6.RAINSVILLE: (5 gr g by Casual Trick – Fiftyshadesofray) – On paper is the horse to beat here.
Rainsville steps down in class to compete here in what should be a successful attempt.
Rainsville last raced 21 days ago in the Saint Cecelia Cup where he finished in fifth place by 15 lengths behind Desert of Malibu. With nothing really outstanding in the line-up,
Rainsville should be a winner here.
7.STORM: (9 b g by Natural Selection – All For Pleasure) – A winner on last who is going to repeating not an option here.
