Squash champ tests positive for banned drug, seeks to clear name
Jamaica’s national squash champion Julian Morrison has been provisionally suspended by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO) after testing positive for a banned substance.
Morrison returned a positive result for trace amounts of Boldenone, a banned anabolic agent, after an out of competition test taken on January 18.
His legal team, attorneys Dr Emir Crowne and Matthew Gayle in a statement said Morrison unknowingly ingested the banned substance and is eager to clear his name.
“As best as can be determined at this time, the banned substance unknowingly entered Mr Morrison’s system through contamination.
“In the circumstances, Mr Morrison is therefore keen to clear his name and will seek to expedite any process or mechanism to facilitate such vindication,” the attorneys said.
