On Saturday, Amoy Spence gave Racing United the lead in the 19th minute but Mikyle Williams equalised for Racing United in the 22nd minute before Johnson gave the visitors the lead in the 31st minute and added an insurance goal in the 66th minute.
Tru-Juice FC, who were the beaten semi-finalists last season, were up 2-0 at halftime against Baptist Alliance through a double from D’Shean Henry, who scored in the 38th and 44th minutes.
Tamar Francis halved the deficit when he scored his league-leading 13th goal in the 49th minute but Dwight McKenzie restored Tru-Juice’s two goals cushion when he scored in the 76th minute.
Chapleton Maroons are third on 27 points, one more than Baptist Alliance after edging Browns Town FC 1-0, avenging their first-round loss by the same margin with an added-time goal from Neshawn Bennett.
Faulkland FC rebounded from a big loss to Racing United with a 2-1 win over Grays Inn SC at Jarrett Park, avenging their 1-0 loss in the first round.
Oshane Russell got Faulkland FC off to a fast start, scoring in the second minute and Tavane Kerr added a second in the 25th minute before Jaheem Morrison scored a consolation for Grays Inn in the 84th minute.
Falmouth United also won 2-1, beating Portlanders FC at Elleston Wakeland Centre with two goals from Akeem Hastings in the 71st and 83rd minutes after Cardiff McKenzie had given the visitors the lead in the 30th minute.
Meadforest FC and Petersfield FC played out a 1-1 draw with both goals coming in the final 11 minutes of the game, Rodari Edwards gave Meadforest the lead in the 79th minute before O’Shawn Neil earned a point for Petersfield when he scored in the 84th minute.
With the expulsion of Hopewell United, there was a re-calibration of the points table as all the games they played in were declared null and void in accordance with competition rules since the team had not participated in 75 per cent of the games scheduled.
As a result, only one more team will be relegated at the end of the season while the finalists will be promoted to the Jamaica Premier League next season, replacing Treasure Beach and Lime Hall Academy.
