Everything is going well in Canada — Javaniel Patterson
After three weeks in Canada, Jamaican jockey Javaniel Patterson stated that despite the extremely cold weather, he is going through the necessary paces to be ready when the Assinboia season begins.
“I am getting along well. Despite the cold, and it is cold over here, I have been doing the work required, as the race meet here starts on May 21. Yes, it is cold, it is different, but I am good and getting support,” Patterson said.
“I am working with an agent, and the hope is that we can get off to a good start. I know I have to work hard to achieve what I want to achieve,” Patterson added.
Patterson stated that this is an opportunity to advance his career, and he is seizing it.
He continued, “It is always good to experience different things, in terms of racetracks, and riding against international jockeys, as you only learn more and develop your craft better.”
