Xodus Carnival distributes costumes for road march
Xodus Carnival masqueraders are feeling and fitting their costumes as they prepare to take over the streets of Kingston with the band’s ‘Mas Couture’ themed costume parade.
The band and its group of designers from MasCreate Studios have been working tirelessly since the band launch in October to adequately meet the demand from masqueraders.
Earlier this week, Xodus began its distribution process at the Pegasus Hotel Ballroom, with the Art Deco, Disco, Gothic, Hollywood Glam and Pop costumes up for distribution first.
The following day, April 3 masqueraders who registered for the Boho, Cyber Punk, Rave, Regency and Victorian costumes were advised to arrange for the collection of their packages.
Lastly, Thursday, April 4, the remaining costumes – Flower Power, Hippie and Roaring 20s – were available for distribution.
Pierre Goubault, CEO of Xodus Carnival urged masqueraders to keenly follow the schedule to ensure a smooth dissemination process.
“We strongly advise our masqueraders to collect their costumes on the day it is scheduled for. In the event they are unable to, they can arrange to collect them on the open schedule days of April 5 and 6, or any day after the one that their costume is scheduled for. Costume distribution is always busy, therefore we want this process to be as smooth and quick as it can possibly be,” he explained.
Revellers must have a valid form of identification bearing their names exactly as it is on their order, as well as a copy of their order receipt.
Xodus noted that all costumes must be fully paid for in order for them to be collected. Tshirt packages will also be available for collection every day from April 2 through to 6.
“Both Envy and Xodus t-shirt packages can be collected throughout the entire week. We’ve also made provision for revellers who won’t be available to pick up their costumes on the designated days. They can assign an authorised collector to pick up their packages by logging on to their account on MaSOs at xodus.masos.app and selecting the ‘Authorized Collector’ option from the menu bar. Naturally, this person is required to take along their valid id and a copy of the masqeurader’s order receipt to facilitate the collection,” Goubault concluded.
Xodus Carnival also advised that all unclaimed costumes and tshirt packages by April 6 at 12 noon will result in the item(s) becoming available for resale.
