Man shot dead near home in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – A man was shot dead near his home at Whitehall in Negril, Westmoreland on Tuesday morning.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Brandon Hall, otherwise called ‘Shay’ or ‘Don Don’.
Reports are that around 3:20 am, Hall had just arrived home and entered his house. It is reported that a motorcycle, with two men aboard, rode into the lane where he lives.
Hall came out of the house and walked down into the lane towards the motorcycle. He talked to the men on the motorcycle for about 10 minutes, and then two loud explosions were heard.
Shortly after, Hall was found lying along the roadway in a pool of blood. The police were summoned and found Hall lying along the roadway with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his head and right shoulder.
The body was transported to the Savannna-la-mar Public General Hospital, where it was pronounced dead.
No motive has been established for the killing, the police said.
