Nephew charged with uncle’s murder in St Ann
ST ANN, Jamaica — A 26-year-old farmer of McNie, St Ann has been charged with the murder of his 45-year-old uncle.
He is Nicholas Thompson, otherwise ‘Gabba’. Dead is Tyrone Brown, otherwise ‘Paul’, also a farmer of Cowley district in the parish.
Reports are that about 6:30 am, on Tuesday, March 26, Thompson visited his uncle on his farm in Cowley district where he allegedly used a machete to chop Brown several times.
The police were alerted and, on their arrival, Brown was seen with multiple chop wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation was carried out and Thompson was arrested. He was charged after he underwent a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date has not been finalised.
