Wingy Danejah hails the counsel of God in new song

Whether they are practicing Christians or ‘living in the world’, Wingy Danejah says persons look to counsel from a Supreme Being when their backs are against the ball. The gospel singjay reinforces that point on Back to You, his latest song.

The track, produced by Wingy Danejah, features American artistes Toyalove and V Rose.

According to the South Florida-based Jamaican, “Back to You is a poignant reflection on the journey towards spiritual fulfillment, emphasising the importance of reconnecting with God amidst life’s distractions.”

Wingy Danejah adds that, “The song delves into the realisation that true purpose lies in a deep relationship with God, suggesting that everything else we pursue can feel like a waste of time until we prioritise our connection with the Divine.”

This is the latest collaboration with him and V Rose. Their previous efforts include No Love and Birthday. Last year, he collaborated with Toyalove on Everybody Dance.

Originally from Portmore, Wingy Danejah has recorded inspirational lyrics to secular beats since he began his career over 25 years ago. The dancehall sound he loved before being baptised, are evident in his songs.

Back to You has a distinct hip hop tone which the three artistes felt effectively drove their message.

“Toyalove and V Rose infuse the song with their unique vocal styles and perspectives, enriching its message of spiritual introspection and renewal. This underscores the importance of shared values and common ground among collaborators to convey a cohesive and authentic message,” said Wingy Danejah.
