Gin ‘N’ Juice delivers
Hundreds of high-energy patrons flooded the Cherry Gardens Great House in St Andrew on March 16 to enjoy the musical selections at the Soca vs Retro Editon of the popular 90s party Gin ‘N’ Juice.
The Gordon’s Gin, Barcode and Pure Country-sponsored event saw patrons being treated to entertainment from the likes of dis jockeys Smoke, Delano, and Kurt Riley.
The promoter of the event, Gregg Smith, was pleased with how the evening unfolded.
“It was an electrifying experience, and the buzz from the crowd was contagious and palpable. I enjoyed watching the patrons having the time of their lives and dancing and singing to almost every selection the DJs dropped,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
He explained that the theme of the event was well received by the patrons.
“It’s officially soca season, and the theme was well embraced, and the reaction was just as we expected — vibrant and exciting. It was truly an atmosphere to behold with patrons singing and dancing the night away to popular hits from the 90s such as The Soca Boys’
Follow The Leader and MC Hammer’s U Can’t Touch This,” he said.
He also shared his highlight of the event.
“My highlight of the event was to see the high turnout of new patrons and, in particular, young individuals at the event. I attribute this squarely on the inclusion of new team members Conrad Matherson, Ewan Campbell and Olivia Nelson from 876 Stream, the new marketing firm added to our team… Their work ethic, commitment and connections really bore through, and they had a lot to do with this staging being one of the best ever,” Smith added.
Based on the success of Gin ‘N’ juice, the organiser and his team are already in planning mode for the next staging of the event.
“The next staging of Gin ‘N’ Juice will be in the summer. However, we’re still working out the specifics with our main sponsors before announcing any specific date, place, or DJ line-up. We are going to leave the next theme as a little surprise for patrons to anticipate, but everyone can rest assured that Gin ‘N’ Juice in the summer will be the best staging ever,” he told the Observer.
