Conjoined twin who shot to fame in 1996, now married
Conjoined twin Abby Hensel, is married.
According to news reports from a number of international media outlets, Hensel, who shot to fame following a 1996 interview with Oprah alongside her sister, Brittany, reportedly tied the knot with Josh Bowling, a United States Army veteran back in 2021.
The sisters who at one point had their own reality TV series, have lived under the radar for the past decade. According to news reports, they are both teachers at a high school in Minnesota.
Photos of the couple have reportedly been posted to the twins’ Facebook account. One image showed Abby and Brittany embracing their husband, smiles plastered across their faces.
The Hensels are dicephalous conjoined twins. They have two heads, share a torso, a bloodstream and all organs below the waist. Abby controls their right arm and leg, while Brittany controls the left.
At birth, doctors reportedly presented the possibility of separating the twins. But their parents decided against the surgery.
