The scope of works includes demolition and site clearance, construction of sidewalks, drainage features including a box culvert, pavement works and more.
It is the second phase of the three-segment 20-km Falmouth to Springvale Road Rehabilitation Project, which is being spearheaded by the NWA.
The first phase between Wakefield and Deeside has been completed at a cost of $200 million and was officially opened by the former Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Everald Warmington, in January.
On several occasions in the past, motorists have staged massive protests over the deplorable condition of the 22-km stretch from Falmouth to Springvale.
