Juici Patties says the grand opening of its restaurant in Hollywood, Florida on Saturday was a success, so much so that the new outlet was forced to close the following day for restocking.

“Thank you everyone for your extraordinary support today, and for buying 5 days worth of patties in 1 day! Unfortunately, we will be closed tomorrow (Sunday) while we restock and prepare to open for you on Monday. See you then! Thank you for your support!” wrote Juici Patties US division in a post to Instagram on Saturday following the launch.

Juici Patties opened the doors to the Hollywood Boulevard restaurant on Thursday as it begins its expansion into the United States market.

The Clarendon-based restaurant franchise announced earlier this year that it was getting ready to expand to the United States and is inviting franchisees to apply to operate its restaurants in that country.

Juici Patties now has well over 60 locations in Jamaica and also manufactures patties in Canada, the United Kingdom and eight other Caribbean countries.
