#Champs2024: Edwin Allen reclaim girls’ Champs title; KC win 35th in boys’ section
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Edwin Allen High reclaimed the ISSA girls’ Championships title while Kingston College defended their boys’ title at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships on Saturday.
KC secured their 35th title, four in the last five years, with a whopping 335 points.
Jamaica College looked to challenge the North Street boys but only amassed 278 points after five days of competition.
Calabar High (194); Excelsior High (122); St Jago High (111.5); Wolmer’s Boys (66); St Elizabeth Technical (59) and St George’s College (53); Munro College (45) and Edwin Allen High (29) round out the top 10 boys’ school.
In the girls’ section, Edwin Allen amassed 335.5 points, unseating last year’s champion Hydel High for their 10th title.
Hydel fought to the very end, however, they only managed to rack up 326 points.
Rounding out the top 10 girls’ schools are St Jago High (171); Holmwood Technical (149); Wolmer’s Girls’ (128.5); Immaculate Conception (105); St Catherine High (67); Excelsior High (64); St Elizabeth Technical (51) and St Mary High (46.5).
