Scorpions 59-4 vs Hurricanes in second innings
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica Scorpions were reeling on 59-4 against Leeward Islands Hurricanes at the end of day two of the regional first-class match at Sabina Park.
The hosts have a lead of 49 runs with six wickets in hand.
West Indies Test left-hander Kirk McKenzie is not out on 24, while Peat Salmon is on two.
Earlier, the Hurricanes made 231 in their first-innings reply after the Scorpions resumed on 173-6 and were bowled out for 221.
Scores: Scorpions 221 (68.2 ovs) & 59-4 (18 ovs); Hurricanes 231 (58.3 ovs).
Carlos Brown top-scored with 80 in the Scorpions’ first innings against pacer Jeremiah Louis and Rahkeem Cornwall snatched three wickets each.
Justin Greaves (62) and Keacy Carty (53) hit half centuries in the Hurricanes’ reply. Salmon (5-50) and fellow off spinner Ramaal Lewis (4-80) were the top bowlers for the Scorpions.
Trailing by 10 runs in the first innings, the Scorpions were again undermined by Louis (2-11) as they struggled to the close.
