Juici Patties opens restaurant in Hollywood, Florida
Jamaican-owned fast food chain Juici Patties has opened a restaurant in Hollywood, Florida as it begins its expansion into the United States market.
It opened the doors to the Hollywood Boulevard restaurant on Thursday.
The Clarendon-based restaurant franchise announced earlier this year that it was getting ready to expand to the United States and is inviting franchisees to apply to operate its restaurants in that country.
Daniel Chin, director of operations and CEO of Juici Patties US division and the son of founder Jukie Chin, is leading the charge to expand the franchise. A website has even been created at https://juicipattiesfranchising.com/ inviting interest parties to apply.
Daniel had been quoted in the US media as saying Miami, Florida was the first choice to enter the US market because of the “very large Jamaican diaspora in the city — as well as the state.”
Hollywood is a city on Florida’s east coast, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
Juici Patties now has well over 60 locations in Jamaica and also manufactures patties in Canada, the United Kingdom and eight other Caribbean countries.
