#Champs2024: Excelsior’s Wright delivers gold in Class 1 boys’ 400mh

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Excelsior High’s Daniel Wright stunned the field to win the Class 1 boys’ 400m hurdles at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships on Friday.

Wright, who finished fifth in the event last year, ran a personal best of 50.71 seconds.

The Kingston College pair of Antonio Forbes (50.74) and Shamari Jennings (50.83) had to settle for second and third, respectively.
