Tea @ Julie Mango
It was an unexpected treat, Wednesday last when Julie Ramchandani-Harpalani hosted a special Island Style High Tea in celebration of International Women’s Day at her eponymous establishment.
The elegantly curated menu offerings included: Tropical Mimosa, a wonderful range of teas notably rose/lavender/lemongrass/Julie Mango/Chai, and individual etageres of ackee backee, veggie samosa, pesto, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, callaloo and plantain pinwheels, buffalo chicken dip with crostinis, Julie Mango salsa with plantain chip, shrimp ceviche and pork tostadas savouries.
Sweets comprised almond scones, brownie bites, vanilla cupcakes, snickerdoodle cookies and cheesecake. In between sips of our favourite brews we poured into each other and made plans for our next tea confab.
