The talent of the ‘Mac’ girls knows no bounds!
From leaders in science, to director roles at the United Nations, media mavens, and experienced educators, Immaculate Conception High School (ICHS) has produced movers and shakers of societies worldwide.
And on Saturday, March 16, The institution’s alumnae hosted the ICHS Hall of Fame Gala, which served as a dual-purpose event honouring outstanding alumnae and raising funds for scholarships and school development programmes.
The event, hosted at the Jamaica Pegasus, celebrated the achievements of Steven Woodham, for his outstanding service over the past 30 years as artist-in-residence at ICHS, where he has inspired musical excellence and led the symphony orchestra; and four remarkable women: Margaret Campbell in the category of Education, recognised for her transformative leadership at St George’s College; Donette Chin-Loy Chang for her exceptional contributions to Community Leadership & Philanthropy in Jamaica and Canada; Michelle Gyles-McDonnough, acknowledged for her nearly 30-year career in International Relations & Public Service, notably at the United Nations; and Cathrine Sani, recognised for her dedication to Social Services & Volunteerism, particularly at ICHS where she led rebuilding efforts for the ICHS state-of-the-art Food & Nutrition Lab and Nursing Station.
