An Ode to African Royalty
It’s a little over a year since Bronson and Nicole McDonald tied the knot. Tuesday Style Vows (TSV) sends heartiest congratulations.
In a not-so-typical twist, TSV spotlights the tailor behind the regal attire worn by the bridegroom and his groomsmen.
“It all began with a simple recommendation from a valued client and friend, Tosh Alexander, who spoke highly of our work to Bronson and Nicole,” said Troy Oraine principal of Nine Studios. Their decision to trust Tosh’s judgment led them to the atelier.
“Both had already explored various recommendations, locally and internationally, but felt a strong inclination to support a Jamaican designer who could understand and celebrate Caribbean and African cultural identity.
“Conversation flowed easily and effortlessly… They were intrigued by our brand’s journey and ethos. I shared with them our vision of uplifting our people and celebrating our blackness through fashion – a brand built around the concept of black royalty. This resonated deeply with Bronson, aligning perfectly with his own vision for his special day,”added Oraine.
It was decided! Tribe Nine Studios would create bespoke pieces for him as well as his groomsmen. Bronson also decided that he would love to gift his groomsmen the atelier’s signature one-sided vest, reflecting not just style, but also a shared sense of pride and heritage.
The rest, as they say, is history – a beautiful testament to the power of connection, trust, and shared values”. — Troy Oraine @tribeninestudios
