Two charged in New Year’s Day stabbing incident in St Elizabeth
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – Two men have been charged in relation to a stabbing incident in Teague district, St Elizabeth on New Year’s Day.
Charged with wounding with intent are 49-year-old Christopher Morgan, a farmer of Lacovia district in the parish, and 24- year-old Shamar Morgan, a cabinet maker of the same community.
Reports are that about 4:30 pm, a group of men had a dispute during which Christopher used a knife to stab one of the men several times. Shamar then used a knife to cut the other complainant in his face.
Both victims were transported to hospital where they were admitted.
A report was made to the police and an investigation launched.
Christopher and Shamar Morgan were subsequently arrested and charged following a question and answer interview. Their court dates are being finalised.
