Brianna Lyston runs personal best in 60m win at NCAA indoors
BOSTON, USA— Brianna Lyston of Louisiana State University (LSU) won the women’s 60m title on Saturday’s final day of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) indoor track and field championships at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Massachusetts with a personal best and school record 7.03 seconds.
After a fast start, Lyston, who also improved on her College Lead, held off Kaila Jackson of the University of Georgia- 7.08 seconds and Oregon’s Jadyn Mays 7.12 seconds.
Lyston’s time makes her the fifth fastest Jamaican ever in the indoor 60m.
Meanwhile, Shenese Walker of Florida State was fifth in a personal best 7.19 seconds.
Nickisha Pryce was second in the 400m running 51.00 seconds.
