Both Sandals Major League semis deadlocked
TUCKER, St James – Both first leg semi-finals of the St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League ended in 1-1 draws at WesPow Park in St James on Saturday, setting up a winners take all return legs next weekend.
Defending champions Reggae Youths came from a goal down to earn a draw against former champions Granville United in the second game of the double-header that saw both teams ending the game with 10 players.
Romaine Lewis fired Granville United into the lead in the 12th minute but a penalty conversion in the 75 th minute saw Reggae Youths get back on level terms.
Andre Tate of Granville United was sent off for violent conduct while Chadaine Blagrove of Reggae Youths was red carded for serious foul play. Both will miss the return leg game.
In the first game, Jermaine Irving gave Flanker United the lead in the 17th minute but Terrick Dixon pulled Lilliput Rovers level in the 38th minute.
