WATCH: Fire at Petrojam, no injuries reported
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Firefighters are conducting cooling down operations at the Petrojam oil refinery on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston after reports that three heat exchangers caught fire Tuesday evening.
Head of the Kingston Western Police Division, Michael Phipps, who was on scene to provide crowd control where necessary, told reporters that the fire from two of the exchangers were already extinguished and the firefighters were working on the third.
He stated that there were no reports of injuries following the incident.
Information on how the fires began has not yet been ascertained.
