Headley Cup wins for Clarendon College, Cornwall College
CORNWALL College and Clarendon College registered comfortable victories over Dinthill Technical High and Garvey Maceo High in the second round of the ISSA/Grace Headley Cup schoolboy cricket competition which began last week.
At Cornwall College, Damien Daley captured eight wickets for 27 and followed up with an unbeaten 46 as Cornwall beat Dinthill Technical by seven wickets.
Dinthill could only manage 118 against Daley’s off spin. The all-rounder then guided Cornwall College to victory at 120 for 3.
At Garvey Maceo High, Clarendon College beat the home team by 243 runs. Led by 96 from Kenardo Cameron; Dijuani West, 50 and Jovannie Palmer, 32, Clarendon College reached 297 all out against off-spinners Shaunjay Clarke, five for 44, and Dantay Dillon, three for 112.
Responding, Garvey Maceo were bowled out for 54, with seamers Tequan Roberts (four for 19) and West (three for nine) doing most damage for Clarendon College.
