Sensational Move to continue winning ways in SVREL Anniversary Trophy
The running of the $1.75-million Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) Trophy, a Graded Stakes/Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward, takes centre stage on tomorrow’s 10-race card.
The race will see Emperorofthecats, Madelyn’s Sunshine, and Sensational Move renewing rivalry in what is expected to be another thriller going 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m).
The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a close look at five runners down to take part and their chances of winning.
1. EMPEROFTHECATS: (5 b g by Emperor Hall – Laws of the Cat) – Came home second behind Sensational Move over the straight (1,000m) on February 17.
Emperorofthecats finished 4 ¼ lengths behind the winner, the first time he was losing at the distance.
Emperorofthecats also goes well riding the bend, and from this one draw he could turn the tables.
2. MADELYN’S SUNSHINE (USA): (5 dk b/br m – Joe’s Son Joey – Madelyn’s Finest) – Finishing some 6 ¼ lengths in third place behind Sensational Move and Emperorofthecats on February 17. However, she was just beaten a length by Desert of Malibu over 6 furlongs (1,200m) prior and had Emperorofthecats 2 lengths behind in third place. If Madelyn’s Sunshine can reproduce that effort, then she can win here.
3.YELLOWSTONE: (5 ch g by Sensational Slam –Awary) – Is going to be left behind here.
4. SENSATIONAL MOVE: (4 ch c by Sensational Slam – Money Move) – Without a doubt one of the most-improved horses in training at present.
Sensational Move romped home to his second-consecutive win when easily defeating all of the runners present here over the straight on February 17. Facing the same runners he defeated here, Sensational Move can repeat.
5. PRESS CONFERENCE: (6 ch g by Twilight Time – Lady Shankari) – No chance of winning here.
