TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Lawmen seized one firearm, two magazines and a Toyota Mark X motorcar following a shooting in Mahogany Hall, Trelawny on Monday.

Reports are that about 9:45 am, residents alerted lawmen to the area where the occupant/s of a Toyota Mark X motorcar were allegedly firing gunshots.

The team responded and conducted a cordon-and-search operation. During said operation, the vehicle was found abandoned in the Level Bottom area in the parish. Subsequently, one Glock 17 pistol and two magazines were found in bushes near the vehicle.

The weapon and vehicle were seized for processing by detectives from the parish’s Scene of Crime Unit. The Police are appealing to the driver of the motorcar to turn himself in immediately.
