“My experience with the Dior team was like creating magic – where every moment felt like stepping into a world of elegance and luxury. They provided a great hairstylist and nail tech to prep me for the shoot. The team flew in from Paris and that in itself gave the set a very different feel. The team was very hands-on and fun to work with,” Davina Bennett shared with Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD).

It was a pinch-me moment for the afro beauty who placed third in the 2017 finals of Miss Universe. “I remember when my agent Jorge called to give me the news how happy and grateful I was… tears running down my cheeks. This was a surreal moment for me and one that meant a lot for the trajectory of my career in the beauty world,” she added.

Her shoot was glitch-free and the team, she recalled, was great. “I didn’t face any challenges during my shoot. It was a smooth and easy day with a great team who knew how to capture great beauty portraits.”

The feeling was mutual! When Bennett came off the set after shooting the 6.5 N foundation, she was asked to model a second product (the concealer). Her smile widens as she recalls how post-shoot, a team member said, “Davina, you were born to do this!”

There’s no disputing that Bennett has put in the work, honing her skills, picking herself up after many a rejection. This Dior campaign, she is convinced, will undoubtedly boost her career in the beauty industry and put her in good stead to work with more luxury brands. “Working with Dior has not only elevated my understanding of luxury cosmetics but also reshaped my approach to modelling, where every detail becomes a canvas for artistry and sophistication”, she shared.
