Venesha Phillips loses in Papine

The People’s National Party (PNP) is celebrating the defeat of its former member, Venesha Phillips in the Papine Division.

Phillips, who left the PNP last November, was beaten by the PNP’s Darrington Ferguson with vote count being 2,172 for Ferguson to 2,002 for Phillips.

Earlier, Kari Douglas, who also switched allegiance from the PNP to the JLP, lost the Trafalgar Division to the PNP’s Jessie James Clarke by more than 600 votes.
