Tension mounts in Westmoreland as ballots are counted
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – Tension is mounting at the Little London Primary School as the Jamaica Labour Party workers have been complaining about how long it is taking for the ballots to be counted.
Workers were observed opening and reopening ballot boxes.
“When we go there the agents have a problem with the box; the envelope is not sealed….,” Adeisha Myrie complained, expressing disappointment with the way things are progressing.
An upset is expected in the Little London division as the People’s National Party’s Oliver Reid and the JLP’s Ian Myles fight to the finish line for the post of councillor.
